At the proofreading stage, you are ready for a proofreader to take a last look for typos and other errors for publication. My proofreading experience includes books, social media marketing materials, and correspondence.

​Proofreading sample:
I like to prepare a sample of my proofreading of a segment of your text of up to five standard (250-word, double-spaced) pages. Based on the sample, we can decide if we are a good fit as author and proofreader before entering into a contract for the larger project. The cost for a sample is $25, which amount will be applied to the total price for the project in the event I perform your proofreading.

Regular rate for proofreading:
Proofreading rates are typically based upon the the degree of difficulty of the material and the time frame in which the assignment must be completed. The Editorial Freelancers Association surveyed its members in 2020 to determine the median rate ranges for editorial services. I work by the hour and typically charge within the median rate range reflected in the EFA's Editorial Rates Chart. I can provide an exact rate and total project fee after discussing your project and performing a proofreading sample. Contact me to discuss your project.
